Additional Murder Mystery Party - Staying Alive Information

Get ready to shake your groove thing in trendy Studio Manhattan. But wait-- dance sensation Jackie Fever's been murdered! Who did it? Was it John Revolting, the Disco champ? Diana Rush, the chart-topping singer? Or maybe Bruce Leap, the movie star and martial arts expert? Even more fun than actually killing a professional disco dancer, this game comes with everything you need to create an unforgettable evening. It includes a party planner with recipes, music and decorating tips, character booklets for all suspects, eight place cards, eight party invitations and envelopes, six secret clues and a companion CD. For 6 to 8 players. Warning Choking Hazard! Contains small parts, not for children under 3.

What Customers Say About Murder Mystery Party - Staying Alive:

I would recommend having everyone read their final statements and take a guess at who the killer is before you play the last CD part. I would encourage you to give these parts to guests who will get the crowd involved such as reenacting the crime scene, strip searches, and maybe Andy's streaking episode.

My husband and I have thrown several murder mystery parties and this is by far our favorite. I would warn those out there this game is more PG 13.

Break out the polyester and platform shoes. Some reviews seem to not like the extra characters (Sunny and Share) because they don't have as much of a part as the main characters.

We bought a disco ball and threw on some groovy music to dance to. All of the costumes were great.

The only negative thing about this game is the murderer was just blurted out at the end of the CD. Still, so much fun.

I recommend the Pasta, Pistols and Passion one before this one. The first one was awesome (Pasta, Pistols, Passion) and for this one we had high expectations. We hosted a second new year's eve party using another murder mystery party game. I am not sure we could have done anything differently to make this one work better. Though we totally transformed our home into a studio 54 complete with strobe lights, disco ball, sleazy lounge-esque disco, bar, etc.the script was not nearly as entertaining nor did the plot flow as smoothly as I though it could. Everyone showed up in fantastic costumes but I think this one fell short of great. We had the same people from the previous year and really put a lot into the set. We did use their recommendations on music and food to make the scene more befitting of 1979 (all of us remember that year). My advice is to try another one of these games before you buy this one.

It sounds like it will be alot of fun. thanks for the great service

A group of secretaries did this for a Bosses' Day party. We gave the characters to the Bosses, but all dressed up in a Disco style. We "helped" our Bosses review the clues and come to a conclusion. There were 15 of us and we all had a great time.

i got the idea of doing a murder mystery from my friend ashley who did the "pasta passion and pistols" murder mystery. but at least we could know if he was the murderer. when all the guests arrived, they all looked like they just stepped out of a time machine from 1979.

when i got the game i was so excited. we ate fondue and the room looked oh-so-seventies. hers was lots of fun, so i decided that i'd try it out for myself.

(of course i wouldnt know what people looked like from that time because i wasnt alive then, but from what i could imagine they looked the part). the thing about these murder mysterys is that you can only have 6 suspects and if you invite 8 people, two of them have to be insignificant. that was a bit of a bummer.

when we started the game, the character booklet for "andy warthog" the first two pages were right and the last two pages were right, but all the other pages were fom the wromg murder mystery, so that was a bit of a disappointment. overall this was a fun game and i think that the night came to the perfect close and if a had another opportunity, i would do it again.
